We have been looking at going to wdw from 25 may to 8 doing some research and it coincideds with gaydays.
I am a gay man myself and would be going with my partner, my sister her fiance and her 2 teenage boys.I am comfortbale with who i am and obvioulsy all my family and friends are just not in to the homosexual scene and dont want to be associated with the stuff you read about in the press etc, about all the drugs ______ etc and the &#;out&#; ness of it all, i find two men kissing at disneyworld as offensive as i would find a human and woman, theres a occasion and place and i dont think disney world is it.
is it as bad as read about? or are things as usual at disney during this time?

I&#;ve been to the GayDays event many times, and have not encoutered "drugs, etc" at the theme parks. You need to differentiate what may occur elsewhere versus what happens within Disney&#;s theme parks. There are organized Gay Days events throughout Orlando, not just on Disney property. I am certain that Disney would not tolera

LGBTQ people flock to Florida for Disney's Gay Days celebration

ORLANDO, Fla. — Tens of thousands of LGBTQ people are flocking to central Florida this weekend to leave on theme park rides, mingle with costumed performers, sway at all-night parties and lounge poolside at hotels during Gay Days, a decades-long tradition.

Even though Gov. Ron DeSantis and Florida lawmakers have championed a slew of anti-LGBTQ laws — spurring the most prominent gay rights team in the U.S. and other civil rights organizations to issue warnings the Sunshine Express may no longer be safe — Gay Days organizers are still encouraging visitors from around the world to come to one of Florida’s largest gay and woman-loving woman celebrations.

They say a large turnout will send a word that LGBTQ people are not going away in Florida, which is continually one of the most popular states for tourists to visit. If the hoped-for , or more visitors enter to the half-week of pool parties, drag bingo and thrill rides at Orlando’s theme parks and hotels, then “that’s the point,” said Joseph Clark, CEO of Same-sex attracted Days Inc.

Anybody ever made a mistake and went to Disney/Universal Studios during pride month?

My wife and I are taking our son to Orlando for the first time from June 4-June We are going to Universal/Island of Adventure on Monday the 5th and Disney parks Tuesday 6th-Thursday 9th.

I forgot about pride month in June at Disney/Universal studios and I was telling myself

The last few days I have been

My friend who finds this hilarious told me that June 1st-June 4th are the gay days at each park. He said when we start our week on that Monday 5th, we should be in the clear from the gay celebrations at the parks. I touch better knowing the large gay days will be over when we travel there.

I know there will probably be rainbow colors and shite but at least the worst part of it will be over. I wanted to go at the end of May when my son got out of school but all the weeks were taken. I’m now expecting the parks to look fancy the gay clothing sections at Target. Has anybody been to Disney/Universal during pride month and how bad is it?

WDW June Gay Days general Discussion Thread

So just wanted to reassure everyone, in my personal experience, that WDW is indeed a safe environment year spherical , including Gay Days.

Gay Days are traditionally built around the first Saturday in June. This year it is June 7, and following the normal schedule the designated parks are:

Thursday June 5, Animal Kingdom
Friday June 6, Disney Studios
Saturday Jine 7, Magic Kingdom
Sunday June 8, EPCOT

The parks are open to the general public, it is not a private ticket event, unlike at Disneyland.

While there are some personal events, and one promoter is actually scheduling a week earlier than usual this year, including a private ticket party at
Typhoon Lagoon scheduled for May

I&#;ll be traveling with a friend, whose wife hates traveling, so he goes with me often. Also in my party will be his 16 yo grandson. We&#;ll be at WDW June 4 to While we are doing the parks, the only one we&#;re doing on the designated daytime is Magic Kingdom, it&#;s just the way our schedule worked out. I was also able to book the DVC Moonlight Magic event at Typho
