Why We Commemorate In June
Pride as we know it started with the Stonewall Uprising on June 28, , when police raided a male lover bar in New York City’s Greenwich Village and patrons fought back. The ensuing riots outside the bar continued for six days and fundamentally changed the discourse of Queer activism. Historians note that Stonewall marked a switch in how queer rights were viewed by the general public.

The Las Vegas Pride Night Parade & Festival is the largest annual LGBT event in Las Vegas and an event not to lose . Hosted by The Southern Nevada Association of PRIDE, Inc. (SNAPI), this years Annual PRIDE Procession will be held on Friday, October 11th in downtown Las Vegas.
