The Pride LGBTQ+ Community Procession is one of the undisputed highlights of the Brighton & Hove Identity festival weekend and is a glorious showcase of the city’s charities, community groups and small businesses as well as our invaluable emergency services, the NHS and statutory partners.

We are committed to ensuring that the Pride LGBTQ+ People Parade retains its collective focus and guarantee that at least 2/3 of entrants will be charities, community groups and local LGBTQ+ businesses.
In keeping with the parade standards we introduced in , any businesses in the march should be able to show evidence of having pro-LGBTQ+ policies and encourage the LGBTQ+ community year round. A

Pride On The Park supported by Hayu is the official Brighton & Hove Self-acceptance fundraiser for our local LGBTQIA+ group groups. A glittering and truly inclusive community celebration that delivers an memorable day of Event , it is singular community fundraising event that has enjoyed amazing performances from international stars including Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Dua Lipa, Ray, Nile Rogers & Chic, Tidy Bandit, Pet Shop Boys, Grace Jones, Years and Years, Sister Sledge, Carly Rae Jepsen, Fatboy Slim, Paloma Faith, The Human League, Ella Elre, Jessie J amongst others.

Brighton and Hove has the top proportion of people identifying as bisexual, pansexual, asexual and neutrois in England and Wales, fresh census data shows.
The data on sexual orientation, from the census, shows that Brighton and Hove had the largest LGB+ population among those aged 16 years and over, with per cent of those who answered the question claiming a non-straight identity.
The city also had the largest percentage nationally of people naming as bisexual ( percent), pansexual ( percent), asexual ( percent) and queer ( percent).
From the results on gender identity, Brighton and Hove had the utmost percentage ( percent) of people who identified as non-binary.
Nationally, percent (around million people) identified as straight or heterosexual, but in Brighton and Hove this figure was lower at percent.
