Single All the Way Makes the Yuletide Gay in Netflixs Cheesy Holiday Rom-com
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a male lover man in possession of a television in December, must be in desire of a cheesy Christmas movie. Whether cinephile, theater lover, or Drag Race connoisseur, everyone enjoys something silly to half view while wrapping presents — and no gay can resist the divine decadence that is Jennifer Coolidge. Enter Single All the Way, a cheesy modern holiday rom-com debuting on Netflix. Gayness isnt some problem to be concealed, fretted about, or made fun of here, its merely part of the given circumstances. Nor is gayness window dressing, cliche-ridden, or milked for comedy. As thoroughly unproblematic a gay Christmas movie as there ever was, unfortunately Single All the Way doesnt leave room for much else.
Led by twinkle-eyed Ugly Betty star Michael Urie, Single All the Way follows a perpetually single man, Peter, who brings his best ally Nick (Philemon Chambers) place for the holidays. The plan is to reveal Peters fa

Season's Greetings From Cherry Lane ()
The only LGBTQ+ story on Hallmark's docket of almost 50 movies is one of three sequels to Christmas on Cherry Lane, with Mike and Zain's adoration again sharing the narrative with two other couples. Netflix’s first gay holiday rom-com
When the holiday season rolls around, I find myself pulled towards the lure of Hallmark-esque Christmas movies. They’re simply irresistible with charming small towns, cheesy romances, and holiday cheer.
Netflix has a wide range of original holiday movies out, and heaps of them are released every November. While I haven’t seen all of them, there certainly are a couple of gems.
Of course, it’s a fair critique to say that these types of movies are very formulaic and cliche. With unrealistic plotlines and predictable twists, the movies are by no means masterpieces. The once brooding love interest will always find the true meaning of Christmas, and any threats to the holiday will be miraculously resolved. However, despite the cheesiness, there is something so lighthearted and fun about these movies that is hard to ignore.
With Christmas approaching, I set out to watch a modern movie.
Number 8 on Netflix’s top ten charts was “Single All The Way,” released December 2nd, The movie centers on two lgbtq+ best friends trying to navigate the holidays back ho

The eight movies we’ve featured below are far from cinematic masterpieces. But they are enjoyable to watch and will fetch you in the Christmas liveliness. Also to note, many of them feature queer actors!
There are spoilers below, but then again, being Christmas movies and all, they spoil themselves.
Make the Yuletide Gay
Make the Yuletide Gay () is cheesy in the foremost way possible. Directed by Deprive Williams, the movie follows Gunn (Keith Jordan) as he brings his boyfriend Nathan (Adamo Ruggiero) home to meet his family. The trouble is Gunn wants to keep it all in the closet. While still having his cake. It’s a characteristic LGBTQ+ romantic comedy with a sprinkle of Christmas flair. Plus, if you’re a Degrassi fan like me, seeing Ruggiero
