Dominic Cooper: We were fortunate, because the COVID lockdown gave us a few weeks to prepare before filming. Myself, Douglas Booth, who plays Red Bill and my deputies Christian Cooke and Ivan Shaw, would all rest together and hold in-depth rehearsals. I thought to myself ‘Why am I playing a sheriff in this spaghetti western? I’m not American and I don’t know that world’. I wasn’t well versed in it, but I think it’s fine to challenge yourself to do those things that you think you shouldn’t. So I had time to create the guy absorbing , and not just play another heroic town sheriff.
