Chicago Pride Fest

Chicago Celebration Fest® is a two-day street festival on June , ; the weekend before the Chicago Self-acceptance Parade (June 29, ). The 24th annual Chicago Pride Fest is a celebration of LGBTQ+ being, culture and community in Chicago’s landmark LGBTQ+ Northalsted neighborhood.

Pride Fest features inhabit music on 3 stages, a Youth Pride Vacuum for teens, best of Chicago drag performance, the Proud Pet Parade with prizes, dance exhibitions, Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus, guest speakers and over nourishment and merchandise vendors

A $20 suggested donation for entry helps pays performers and festival workers, and supports local non-profits & collective programs like the Chicago Pride Crosswalks; 14 rainbow paved intersections installed in that make up the longest installation of it’s kind in the world.

Chicago Pride Parade  

Chicago's Pride celebration consists of a packed month of festivities and events, culminating with the Chicago Pride Parade, which traditionally takes place the last Sunday of June.

 

Chicago Pride Fest takes place along North Halsted St. in the North Side neighborhood colloquially referred to a ‘Boystown’ the weekend prior to the parade. 


The Chicago Pride Parade (June 29, 11am)

The 54th annual Chicago Pride Parade steps off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 29,  from the corners of Sheridan and Broadway ( North) on Chicago's north side.

 

The parade treks through the north side of the urban area, ending near the intersection of Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park, walking through some of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods.

 

 

The annual celebration, which started as a protest march in after the Stonewall Riots in New York City, has grown into the city's second-largest parade of nearly entries, typically attracting more than 1 million people to multiple north

Celebrate Pride month in Chicago

Chicago knows how to celebrate LGBTQ Pride!  A majority of the Identity festival month events seize place in the Northalsted neighborhood (commonly referred to as "Boystown"), the first official gay neighborhood in the country, but celebrations - from street festivals, concerts, and parties to the annual parade - take place all over the city.

Chicago Pride Fest - June 21 & 22,

Organized by the Northalsted Business Alliance (), the annual two-day pride festival takes over Chicago's Northalsted neighborhood every June. Each year, nearly 60, revelers flock to the historic gay neighborhood commonly referred to as "Boystown" to take part in the celebration that includes three harmony stages featuring well-liked music headliners, more than arts and crafts vendors, diet from local restaurants, drag shows, DJs, dancing, and much more. ($20 suggested donation at the gate.)
