Every June, cities around the world burst into paint as communities come together to celebrate Pride Month—a time to honor the history, struggles, and triumphs of the LGBTQIA+ group. From flag raisings to queenly brunches and beach bashes, June is packed with ways to show your Pride in Boston.
We’ve compiled a dozen events organized by Boston University and the City of Boston that rejoice Pride Month—check them out below.
Pride Kickoff and Flag Raising Ceremony: June 2
To start Pride Month loud and proud, the Capital of Boston is hosting a Pride Kickoff and Flag Raising Celebration at City Hall Square on Monday, June 2, from noon to pm. Whether it’s your first Pride or your 50th, this can’t-miss event honors the LGBTQIA+ community in the heart of Bos

1) Pride Bikes with Azure Cross Blue Shield Bluebikes

Cost: Pay as you go
Info: Spot a rainbow ‘Proud Bike’ around the city and hop on. With every ride, Blue Cross Blue Shield will be donating $1 to Fenway Health to support LGBTQIA+ healthcare across the Greater Boston area.
2) Pride Pre-Party at Aeronaut Allston
When: Fri. 6/6
Where: Allston
Cost: Free

Pride Community Events
Join us in celebrating LGBTQ+ community! Throughout the summer the ACLU of Massachusetts will be participating in a series of Pride events across the state.

Sign-Making/T-shirt Decorating Pride Party

Get ready for Pride with the ACLU of Massachusetts! The ACLU MA Operation Team is hosting a sign-making and t-shirt decorating party to get ready for all the upcoming Pride events. We will provide art supplies, signs, and ACLU MA Activity Team T-shirts for decorating. You are also welcome to bring your control T-shirts/signs to decorate. Diet and drinks will be provided.

Boston Pride is this weekend, with a parade and other events scheduled to celebrate the largest annual LGBTQ+ event in Massachusetts.
More than 1 million people attended Boston Pride events last year, the entity said. Boston Pride For The People says this year's theme is "Here to Stay" and will send a message that "people who identify as LGBTQIA+ can not be erased, pushed into the shadows, or silenced, in the face of increased political attacks."
Here's what to know about this year's festivities.
When and where is the Boston Pride parade?
The Boston Pride parade is happening on Saturday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to p.m. The celebration will take place rain or shine.
The parade begins near Copley Square and continues along Clarendon, Tremont and Berkeley streets in the South End before turning onto Boylston Highway and finishing in the Boston Common.
Boston Pride events
After the parade, a free festival will be held from noon to 6 p.m. on Boston Shared. The headliner is Huge Freedia.
A 21+ block party will be held on City Hall Plaza from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Th
