Gay club in jersey city
While there are nowhere near as many gay bars in Jersey City as there are in Manhattan’s West Village, the neighborhood still has a couple of fun venues that cater to the LGBTQ+ community. Each year Jersey City has its possess Pride festival too, which has been running for over two decades and takes place in the historic downtown area around the end of August. With drag shows, parties and tons of events happening all around Newark Ave/Grove Street, it’s one of the largest Pride festivals in the northeast.
Jersey City is a diverse community with tons of great bars and restaurants, including two gay bars Pint Bar and Six 26 which we’ll cover below. There’s also a roving Gay Dance Party, which usually pops up each year during Celebration Festival.

This tiny bar up by Grove Street is super fun and serves over 50 American craft beers as good as 16oz cocktails.

The Royal, York Street, Jersey City
The Royal has opened at York St. It is owned and operated by Paul Cate and George Makrogiannis, the same ownership team of next-door neighbor Buddy Who’s. The venue features a friendly block and restaurant atmosphere.
Club Six26, Christopher Columbus Drive, Jersey City, opening this June
Club Six26 will be opening soon at Christopher Columbus Drive. If you are curious where the entitle comes from — June 26, is when the Supreme Court decided the constitutional right to gay marriage. The huge complex is still under construction. But when finished, its facade will feature a full wall of windows. The venue also features a large rooftop prevent area with a panoramic view of Jersey Metropolis. It is expected to open by June
